What to Know
Beginning January 1, 2027, DuPont is introducing Garner Health, a free healthcare resource available to employees and their family members enrolled in a DuPont Medical Plan. Garner Health helps you find high-quality doctors within the Aetna network. Plus, when you use a Garner Health provider, you can earn Garner Dollars to reimburse yourself for eligible out-of-pocket medical and prescription drug expenses.
Introducing Garner Health
Choosing the right doctor can make a difference in your healthcare experience. Garner Health helps take some of the guesswork out of finding care by identifying high-quality providers within the Aetna network.
Using data from one of the nation’s largest medical databases, Garner identifies the top 20% of doctors based on patient outcomes. You can use the Garner Health app to search for Garner providers and add the doctors you choose to your Care Team.
When you receive eligible care from a Garner provider, you earn Garner Dollars to reimburse you for eligible out-of-pocket medical and prescription drug expenses. Here’s a quick overview on how it works.
Why DuPont is Investing in Higher-Quality Care
With the 2027 premium changes introduced during Annual Enrollment, you may have questions about what this means for your budget and your family’s health care. We want you to understand why DuPont is making these changes and how Garner is part of a longer-term approach to managing health care costs.
Health care is getting more expensive. DuPont’s medical and prescription drug costs are rising at a double-digit rate. The 2027 premium changes help address some of these rising costs, but asking employees to pay more year after year isn’t the long-term answer. That’s why we’re also focusing on the quality of care you receive.
The quality of care can vary from one doctor to another. Choosing a high-quality doctor can lead to better results and may help you avoid complications, unnecessary treatment and additional care. Over time, that can mean better care for you and your family while also helping manage health care costs.
Garner supports this approach by using health care data and patient results to identify high-performing doctors within the Aetna network, making it easier for you to find high-quality care when you need it.
Using Garner is completely voluntary, and you don’t have to change your current doctors. If you choose an eligible Garner provider, however, you can also earn Garner Dollars to help pay you back for eligible health care expenses, up to $1,500 with individual coverage or $3,000 with family coverage.
Garner is about more than one year’s medical plan changes. It’s part of DuPont’s long-term approach to helping you and your family get high-quality care and better results while continuing to provide valuable health benefits for the future.
How Garner Health Works
Follow these four steps to find high-quality care and start earning Garner Dollars.
Step 1: Download the Garner App
Download the Garner app from the App Store or Google Play or access Garner through its website. Create your account using your email address and enter DuPont as your employer.
Step 2: Add Garner Providers to Your Care Team
When you need care, use Garner to search for eligible doctors and facilities within the Aetna network. Once you find a provider, add them to your Care Team in the Garner app. This keeps your selected providers in one convenient place and helps Garner recognize future eligible claims associated with those providers.
Tip: Search for Garner Health providers before you schedule an appointment to make sure the provider is eligible for Garner Dollars. A doctor will not know whether they are recognized as a Garner provider, so it’s important to use the app.
Step 3: Make and Attend Appointments with Garner Providers
Schedule your appointment with the Garner provider and receive care as you normally would through your DuPont medical plan. You’ll continue to use your Aetna medical coverage when receiving care. Garner works alongside your medical plan rather than replacing it.
Step 4: Earn Garner Dollars
After you receive eligible care from a Garner provider, you’ll be reimbursed eligible out-of-pocket medical and prescription drug expenses. You can receive up to:
- $1,500 if you have individual medical coverage
- $3,000 if you have family medical coverage
Your DuPont medical plan determines how you receive your Garner Dollars
- If you’re enrolled in the Core or Premium Saver medical plan your Garner Dollars will be deposited into your Health Savings Account (HSA).
- If you’re enrolled in the Traditional Copay PPO medical plan your Garner Dollars will be deposited directly into your bank account.
Don’t Forget!
Using the Garner Health app does not earn Garner Dollars. To qualify for reimbursement, you must receive eligible care from a Garner provider.

*If you have not reached the IRS HSA contribution limit by the end of the plan year because you have not received Garner Dollars, you can choose to write a check to your HSA before your 2027 taxes are filed and before April 15, 2028. This contribution will be tax deductible.
Get Started with Garner Health
Set yourself up now, so you’re ready when you need care. Getting started only takes a few steps.
- Download the Garner app through the App Store or Google Play. You can also access Garner Health through their website.
- Create your account using your email address and enter “DuPont” as your employer.
- Search for Garner providers who meet your healthcare needs.
- Add your selected providers to your Care Team so you’re ready when it’s time to schedule care.
That’s it. Beginning January 1, 2027, choose an eligible Garner provider and start taking advantage of Garner Dollars when you receive eligible services.
