Dupont

What’s Changing for 2021

At DuPont, your health and well-being matter.
This year has been like no other in living memory. COVID-19 has taken a toll on all of us — physically, emotionally, financially, and socially. Given the impact of the pandemic, DuPont will not be increasing any health or insurance premiums for 2021. Specifically:

  • Annual premiums for medical, dental, and vision coverage will not change;
  • Rates for supplemental life and spouse/domestic partner life insurance coverage will decrease; and
  • Rates for voluntary accidental death insurance and child life insurance coverage will not change.

For additional information about your 2021 benefits, see the 2021 Enrollment Guide.

Benefit Enhancements

We continue to offer a variety of great benefits to help you and your loved ones stay well, make informed healthcare decisions, and keep medical expenses down. But that’s just the start.

Our goal for 2021 and beyond is to transform the way healthcare is delivered to you. To that end, we’ve enhanced our offerings to deliver a better, more personalized healthcare experience to you and your family by:

+ Introducing Accolade — a personalized, confidential, concierge-level service to answer your medical, prescription drug, and behavioral health questions, help you understand these benefits, and support you throughout your healthcare journey;

+ Consolidating our medical and behavioral health carriers to use Aetna nationally, giving you easy access to high-quality, best-price doctors and other providers;

+ Expanding our telemedicine services to include dermatology and behavioral health; and

+ Adding new voluntary benefits coverage: Pet insurance and legal services

What’s Changing for U.S. Employees

Each year, we review our benefits offerings to ensure that we continue to provide competitive benefits that are valued by employees. As a result of our most recent review, we’re making a number of enhancements for 2021:

New! Accolade: Personalized Medical, Prescription Drug, and Behavioral Health Benefits Support

Navigating your healthcare benefits can be confusing, time-consuming, and stressful. That’s why we’re excited to introduce Accolade, the centerpiece of our strategy for transforming the way we deliver healthcare.

Starting October 19, 2020, this confidential, personalized, concierge-level service will be available to help you and your covered family members:

  • Learn about medical benefits changes during Annual Enrollment,
  • Understand and compare your medical plan options for 2021,
  • Confirm a provider’s current network status,
  • Learn about and connect with DuPont-sponsored health and well-being programs, and
  • Locate tools and resources.

Starting in January, Accolade will provide additional services to support your and your covered family members’ medical, prescription drug, and behavioral health benefits needs year-round.

Accolade is provided at no cost to you. It’s designed to complement — not replace — your medical plan and deliver a simplified and more integrated healthcare experience. Think of Accolade as a trusted resource who works for you, can answer your questions, and works with your medical plan to resolve issues and report the results back to you. Learn more.

Medical

Single National Medical Plan Carrier: Aetna

Over the past year, we’ve reviewed the medical insurance marketplace to be sure we continue to provide you with high-quality, affordable medical coverage. As a result of our review, Aetna will become the single national carrier for the Core, Premium Saver, and Traditional Copay PPO options, starting January 1, 2021. Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield (Highmark) will no longer be offered.

We understand that moving to a new medical carrier network may be disruptive. If you currently have coverage with Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, Accolade can help with the transition to Aetna through:

  • Provider Search: Starting October 19, 2020, Accolade can help you confirm if your current providers are in the Aetna network. If a provider isn’t in the Aetna network, you can work with your Accolade Health Assistant to find another in-network provider who meets your needs.
  • Transition of Care: If you or a covered family member is undergoing treatment for a serious condition and your current provider is not in the Aetna network, you may be able to temporarily continue care with the out-of-network provider at in-network rates. If you think this applies to you, beginning December 16, 2020, call Accolade at 1-877-383-4756 (or your Health Assistant directly) to learn more and ask for a Transition Coverage Request Form.

For more information, see the Aetna/Accolade Transition Guide.

New Approach to Your Medical ID Card

For 2021, Accolade will be your main contact for all of your medical, prescription drug and behavioral health care needs. Your Aetna medical ID card for 2021 will show Accolade’s phone number as your point of contact for questions about your medical, prescription drug, and behavioral health coverage.

Note: For questions about claims incurred before January 1, 2021, continue to contact your current medical (Aetna or Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield) and behavioral health (ComPsych) carriers for assistance.

Behavioral Health/Substance Abuse Coverage Moving to Aetna

Our behavioral health coverage is designed to help you live and work well. Starting January 1, 2021, Aetna will replace ComPsych as the administrator of our behavioral health coverage. Moving these benefits to our national medical carrier will significantly expand the provider network and bring you a simplified care experience when more intense counseling than that provided through the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) is needed.

(ComPsych will continue to administer the EAP, which will continue to provide free counseling for you and your dependents. Note that ComPsych will have a new telephone number starting January 1, 2021: 1-844-856-8778.)

If you or a covered family member are undergoing treatment with a ComPsych network provider, Accolade can help with the transition to Aetna through:

  • Provider Search: Starting October 19, 2020, Accolade can help you confirm if your current provider is in the Aetna network. If a provider isn’t in the Aetna network, you can work with your Accolade Health Assistant to find another in-network provider who meets your needs.
  • Transition of Care: Starting January 1, 2021, if your current provider is not in the Aetna network, you may be able to temporarily continue care with the out-of-network provider at in-network rates. If you think this applies to you, starting December 16, 2020, call Accolade at 1-877-383-4756 (or your Health Assistant directly) to learn more and ask for a Transition Coverage Request Form.
  • For more information, see the Aetna/Accolade Transition Guide.

Also starting January 1, 2021, you’ll have the option to receive ongoing, virtual behavioral health care through Teladoc® (see the “Expanded Teladoc Services to Include Dermatology and Behavioral Health Care” drop-down below).

Expanded Teladoc Services to Include Dermatology and Behavioral Health Care

Use of Teladoc (our telemedicine partner) for routine, non-emergency care has grown dramatically in 2020. This has been driven not only by COVID-19, but also by our employees’ greater comfort level with the quality, flexibility, and convenience of telemedicine as a cost-effective alternative to an office, retail clinic, or urgent care visit.

Good news: For 2021, you may continue to use Teladoc for diagnosis and treatment of non-emergency, general medical (only) issues at no cost to you.

Plus, we’re expanding the services for which you may use Teladoc to include dermatology and behavioral health care. You’ll pay a fee for those services.

Here’s how your medical plan option will cover Teladoc services in 2021:

Type of Care Core Option Premium Saver Option Traditional Copay PPO Option

Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) and the Health Savings Account (HSA)

Higher Internal Revenue Service (IRS) Limit for Health Care FSAs

You may contribute up to $2,750 in either a Limited Purpose Health Care FSA or a Traditional Health Care FSA in 2021 (you cannot have both).

Higher IRS Limits for the HSA

If you enroll in the Core or Premium Saver Option in 2021, you may contribute more to an HSA.

  • You may contribute up to:
    • $3,000 if you cover just yourself, and
    • $6,0001 if you cover anyone else (spouse or domestic partner and/or children).
  • You may continue to contribute up to an additional $1,000 if you’re age 55 or older in 2021.
  • DuPont’s contribution isn’t changing:
    • $600 if you cover just yourself, and
    • $1,200 if you cover anyone else.

1 Includes any contributions made by your spouse/domestic partner, assuming your domestic partner qualifies as a tax dependent.

Life Insurance

Streamlining Life Insurance Options

Starting January 1, 2021:

  • The $10,000 coverage option will no longer be available.
    • If you’re currently enrolled in the $10,000 coverage option, you may elect the $50,000 coverage option without providing Evidence of Insurability (EOI).
    • If you make no election, you’ll be automatically defaulted to coverage equal to 1x pay, and EOI will be required.
  • The $50,000 will be offered at no cost, as a tax-free alternative to the company-provided 1x pay coverage. This option will only be available to employees with pay over $50,000. (Amounts of company-provided insurance over $50,000 are subject to imputed income tax.) Employees will no longer receive the premium difference between 1x pay and $50,000 in their paychecks after 2020.
  • As previously announced, the historic Non-Contributory and Contributory Group Life Insurance Plans (NCGLI/CGLI Plans, also known as Option Z Plans), will be eliminated as of December 31, 2020.
    • If you’re currently enrolled in the NCGLI and CGLI Plan (if applicable), your coverage will automatically end as of December 31, 2020, and you’ll begin to participate in the Employee Life Insurance Plan (basic, and supplemental if you have CGLI coverage) as of January 1, 2021. EOI will not be required unless you increase supplemental coverage above the CGLI coverage level in force at the end of 2020. Your beneficiary designation will automatically transfer to the Employee Life Insurance Plan.

Change In How Imputed Income Is Calculated

Here’s another way DuPont is helping you pay less for benefits coverage: Starting in 2021, the calculation of imputed income for life insurance coverage will be based on basic life insurance coverage above $50,000 only; it will no longer include any supplemental life insurance coverage. This will reduce the amount of imputed income for which you’re liable.

Other Program and Plan Changes

New! Legal Services and Pet Insurance

For 2021, you’ll have two new benefit options to further support your and your family’s well-being.

  • MetLife Legal Plan — Provides legal representation for a range of concerns, including money matters, home and real estate, estate planning, family and personal matters, civil lawsuits, elder care, and traffic and criminal matters. Services are provided by a nationwide network of attorneys, at no additional cost to you. Choose from two coverage levels: coverage for just yourself, or coverage for you and your family. You’ll pay for this coverage through after-tax payroll deductions. You can enroll in (or change) coverage on DuPont Connection within 30 days of your hire date, during Annual Enrollment, or if you experience a qualifying life event during the year.
  • Pet Insurance — Get coverage for your pet’s injuries and illnesses, and if you choose, preventive care through Nationwide. Use any vet, worldwide. Plans are available for dogs, cats, birds, and exotic pets, with discounts when you cover multiple pets. Plus, you receive free 24/7 access to vethelpline® for guidance on any pet health concern. Enroll in (or drop) coverage anytime, not just during Annual Enrollment, through Nationwide, not DuPont Connection. You’ll pay for this coverage through direct bill from Nationwide, not payroll deduction.
